In the interview room, a young man was wearing his shoulder-length hair long, as was the fashion at the time. Swami looked at him and told him that he had better get it cut short, like the students at the Ashram.
The young man looked at Swami adoringly, and pleaded with Him to cut the first lock. At this, Swami cried out in mock horror: "I am BABA, not BARBER!!"
