Who is man? .... Tell anybody.... who is man? The proper study of mankind is man. Thoughts words and action together is man. Thoughts one- side, words another-side work this-side is not man. (Swami sighs Hmmm) What is the spelling of man? (Audience responds "M" "A" "N") This is the essence of life. 'M' 'A' 'N'. M means remove that maya (illusion), ignorance. A the vision of the self, Atma (soul). N nirvana liberation. Nirvana liberation means removing delusion and the visualization of the self. 'Self' who is self? You are not one person but three. The one you think you are-physical body, the one others think you are-mental body, the one you really are- that is Atma (soul).

Are you doing daily bhajan (devotional singing) in Canada? Different places not one place, different places..yes..yes.. (Swami sighs Hmmm). Are there any representatives of the organization here? Coordinators, conveners, convenors, coordinators, head of the departments or the wings? Bhagawan has graciously materialized the idol of Ganesha. What you are supposed to do, is to pour one spoon of water for the idol and give it to those who are sick. Those who are sick may be given this water, consecrated water. (Swami says yes)

Boys and Girls! Life is highly valuable. You should never waste your life. We have to know its value. Calling ourselves each one a man, behaving like animal is not proper. Anger, ego, jealousy, these are animal qualities. Love, compassion, sacrifice, truth are human qualities. Sometimes anger comes. You fight with the anger. When anger comes, think 10 times I am not dog I am man, I am not dog I am man, I am not dog I am man, say it 10 times that anger goes. Sometimes confusion sets in. Then think deep enough, confusion is it my quality? No! Think like that when you are confused, 10 times I am not monkey I am man, I am not monkey I am man. All bad qualities are animal qualities. You go anywhere but you behave like a man, call yourself a man. Wherever you go, you should act like man. But calling yourself a man, you should not act like animal.

You have seen in the drama (performed by children/youth of Toronto Centre earlier) the five senses of perception. The first sense is that of sound. Hear no evil, hear what is good. Speak no evil, speak what is good. See no evil, see what is good. Think no evil, think what is good. Do no evil, do what is good. This is the way to God. By giving bad looks, listening to bad, doing bad actions you become bad. The Vedanta philosophy (Eastern philosophy) tells you - as you think, so you become. If you always think of God, you will become God. God has no form. God is consciousness. And there absolute complete consciousness. The consciousness is very important. Consciousness is everywhere. But inside everyone, conscience is present. The conscience in everyone, is life. Conscience. But the individual is not consciousness. Come out of your conscience, and go towards consciousness. This is the way in which we have to practice. Not meditation, not penance, not repetition of the Lord that is important. You simply meditate. You sit straight, then where is your mind? Mind is going to marketplace. With all unnecessary thoughts coming in, that's not real meditation. What is real meditation? Bhagawan is reading. The letters are seen by the eyes. Hand catches the letter and the intellect thinks. This altogether is not meditation.

All that is done below senses is concentration. Concentration. After there is concentration there is meditation. First concentration. Next step contemplation. Third step, meditation. Not sitting straight is meditation, No. It is only a photo. That is show. Meditation is not important. Life is meditation! Whatever you do, it is meditation. You are just walking, that is meditation. As you walk, you are seeing so much of traffic, the cycles and others. You escape from the busy traffic- that is meditation. Life is complete meditation. Walking talking, writing, reading, eating - everything is meditation. Meditation is not separate. The nature of the self, the true nature is in you. You are not the body, you are not the mind. Mind is like a mad monkey. Body is like a water bubble. Don't follow the body. Don't follow the mind. Follow the conscience. That is very important. That is real meditation.

Some people do Japa, repetition of God's name. It is good in order not to waste time. But by merely repeating God's name, you cannot attain Divinity. Holding talisman; counting the beads, scratching the head, scratching the back will not take you to liberation. Are you meditating on God or on your head? No, during meditation see that nothing comes around. So, it is very difficult to meditate. Easiest of all paths, is the feeling the experience that God is in me. God is in me. The second step, I am God. I am God. Third step, I am everything. Everything. God is everywhere, but God who is all pervasive cannot be limited to a specific place. The easy path is to feel that, I am God, I am God. Then you become God.

Reading you don't feel that you are God. This is student life. Student also is God. Wife is also God. Husband is God. Everybody is God. One God has many names. We have so many names. God - He has not one form, not a single form. Some rice is here. You make a flour out of it and you make rice-roti, you make idli, you make dosa, with the rice flour you make so many preparations but it is one only. You have Gold. To the hand it is bangles, to the finger rings, the neck necklace, and around the neck chain. Everything is Gold basically. But the ornaments have different names. Names are not that important. Gold is important, that is fundamental. Out of the same Gold we make so many jewels. Similarly, same God is worshipped in various forms.

We should not be carried away by different names: Rama, Krishna, Govinda, Allah, Jesus. Jesus is also God. Rama is God, Krishna is God, Jesus is God. See around you find so many bulbs illumining. The lights are different, voltage differs, the colour of the bulb differs. But the current is one. God is one. The forms are different here, but God is present in all forms. You should not be egotistic, and say that God is in me and not in you. God is present in everybody. God is present in all beings. Consider God with this unity. What is said in the Bhagawat Gita: All the beings of the universe are the sparks of the Divine. Everyone is a spark of God. All are the Divine forms. When you go and say Namaskar (hello), you salute other persons outside because God is in him. Body is the temple of God. Life is God. Who so ever you do Namaskar (hello), it reaches God. We should not hate anyone. We should not accuse anybody, we should not hurt anybody because God is in all. The reason is, we are all sparks of the Divine. When we have no differences, bad qualities like jealousy, anger, pomp, will not enter. God is present in everybody. Everybody. It is not possible to live without God. God is present in the form of Love. Love. Love is God. Live in Love. Start the day with Love, Spend the day with Love, Fill the day with Love, End the day with Love. This is the way to God.

You can achieve anything through love. We should not hate anybody. Meditation and penance are very difficult tasks. The easy path - the best way to love God is to love all and serve all. This is easy path. Love all. If you come across a person whom you hate, you just respect him. Then he too becomes your friend. On the other hand, if you are angry with your enemy, you'll be more angry. We should not hate anybody. There should not be any hatred among any creature. If you hate anybody, it amounts to hating God. So, we should not hate anyone. We should love all. We should talk sweetly. You cannot always oblige. But you can speak always obligingly. By talking obligingly you are loved by all.

If anybody says 'Namaskar' (hello) to you, you should not speak harshly: 'Go! Go!' No. Help Ever, Hurt Never. We should not hurt anybody. We should not harm anyone. If there is any mistake explain clearly and correct him. We have to learn how to explain clearly. Make every effort to earn the love of everybody. Then God will Love you. In order to receive love of God, you should love everybody - All. Love does not merely mean hugging. No. That is not Good. You should talk softly. Love means: good looks, good hearing, good actions, good words. Good words lead to good actions. We have to make every effort to attain Divinity.

You staged a drama the other day. God manifested and gave His vision. He taught in all ways. When God vanished all felt sad. Watching their misery God manifested in the form of each of the elements. He came in the form of Fire. He pacified them. All five elements are Divine. The body has five elements. The physical body is full of five elements. The whole world is in your body. You have come here from Canada. You are all here seated. You have watched all and you go back to Canada. There in Canada, think of this scene-experience. You are in the hall now but when you go back to Canada, the hall will come to you into you there, in you. You are in the hall now, at that time back in Canada the hall will be in you. Everything is in you, in you, in you. That is the reflection of the inner being.

Reacts of inner being, resound of the inner being. Everything is resound only. In fact, all the power of the elements is within you. In fact there is nothing that's not in the world that's not in you. All are in you. In fact, that which is not in you is not anywhere else. So you are the embodiment of the cosmic form of God. You have to recognize this truth. There are five human values: truth, righteousness, peace, love, and non-violence. If you forgot truth in your life, out of five life principles - one is gone. One is dead and gone - dead. When you lose truth, one life principle is dead. When righteous action is gone, you will lose its second. Without these five life principles, you are lifeless, dead. Lifeless. The life comprises because of these five. Have these as life breaths. Life is God. Life is God, our very life. This life is essential we should love it more and more. Then our life will be so vast and expansive.

In our natural life there are two aspects. One is a great man. The other one is a good man. Are you a great man or a good man? See for example, Rama is there and so is Ravana. Rama has learnt thirty languages. Ravana also has learned thirty languages. In education quality both are the same. Both are classmates. But, the thirty languages learned by Ravana are misused by him. He used it in a wrong way. The qualities are misused, he is a great man. Rama used every quality every form of knowledge in the proper way. So, Rama is a good man. Ravana is a great man. We should not aim to be great. We should aim to be good. Goodness is God. So we should be good people. You should not boast of your high education and degrees, nothing great. Degrees are not that big. The goodness is the correct degree you should have. If you get a good name, no one can excel you. Good man is God man. Be a good man not a great man. Greatness does not lie in fat and height. That's only misuse of the strength. Five qualities and five life breaths are misused.

The spiritual path can be shown. Bhagawan is explaining a simple way because children are here, young children are here. So, we should follow a correct path in our daily life. The good and bad depend on our conduct behavior. The country, the country good and bad. The greatness of the country depends on the quality of man. So we have to develop our quality not quantity. The barrels of donkey milk its all useless. Cow's milk is useful. One teaspoon full of cow's milk is useful. Cows milk signifies quality. Donkey milk amounts to quantity. Quantity is useless. Quality is very important. It should be very good quality. What we should aspire for is quality. The number of books you read, that's all quantity, it's not important. It is all useless. It is all bookish knowledge, superficial knowledge. Without going for bookish knowledge, we should acquire practical knowledge.

You have come from long distance and are going through all the strain to listen to , to see , and to receive His blessings. In these small teachings there is Divinity. It is smallest of the small, biggest of the big. Small is Divine, so is Big. If you have a big zero, it is just a zero. It may be a small zero, yet it is still a zero. There is a difference in size, big and small, but the value is just a zero. Now put one by its side, the zero by its side, makes it ten. Another zero, another zero, then thousand. Remove that one, then the zeros have no value. Hero becomes a zero, if he forgets God.

So, children and adults, without wasting time, chant the name of God. Consider every work, as God's work. Just don't put it aside. What is this? This is cloth. This is not cloth, it is bundle of threads. Not even threads, it is cotton. First cotton, that becomes thread finally it becomes cloth. Without cotton there is no thread. Without threads you can't have cloth. It is all one. We should unify all in the name of God. Do not be enchanted by the name and form. The reality lies in quality. When once you earn that quality, you will be certainly mighty in every aspect. In the culture of Bharat, truth will win. The fundamental point here is, truth that will win finally. Nothing will win over truth. Let there be any changes, truth will be triumphant. Truth is one, not two. Two cannot be three. Truth is only one. 1+1+1+1 = 4. I+I+I+I = is only I. Only one I. This is quality, whereas that is quantity. If you go by numerical value, it is quantity. I is God. I is self. The self here and the self there is one. Only one, not two, that is not dual, that is not Bramha (God). That truth, that is wisdom, that is infinite, that Brahma (God). That truth, that is infinity, that is wisdom, that is Bramhan (God). The cosmic principle Divinity is truth. The same is Dharma (Right- Action). That is wisdom, that is infinite, Ananda (Bliss). Sathya, the truth, Jnana the wisdom, Ananda infinity. So its' not anything like differences.

You have full faith in God. Where there is confidence, there is love. Where there is love, there is peace. Where there is peace there is truth. Where there is truth there is God. Where there is God there is Bliss. First confidence, last at the end is bliss. If you want to be blissful, have confidence in yourself. Because you have confidence, so and so is your mother, you love her. If you have no confidence so and so is your mother, you don't love her. First confidence is required. Faith in God is necessary. That is the first step. Then once you have faith, you will have peace. You are the embodiment of peace. You are the embodiment of truth. You are the embodiment of Bliss. You are the embodiment of God.

So, feel that: 'I am God'. In the worldly sense you can introduce yourself: 'I am so and so', but within feel that you are God. Let anyone say anything, let anyone do anything, that is God's work. Whatever happens, consider that it is good for you. The pain and pleasure come and go, it's for your good. Because, as bad comes in the way, never distance yourself. Because that is good, don't welcome it. Good and bad belong to us. Good and bad are mixed. It is impossible for anyone to separate. Good is not separate. The difficulty gives you goodness. So everything is good. A small example, tonight you have eaten fresh fruits, good milk, good tiffin, you have taken valuable tiffin, it is very good you say tonight. Tomorrow morning, it changes and is called excrete. That you call it bad stuff. The tiffin is good. What is bad? Bad is another form of good. Good and bad depend on time. But it is only one. You are only one.

At the time of birth he is a child. After ten years he is a boy, after thirty years he is a man, after seventy-five years he is a grandfather. Child and grandfather are one, it's only difference of age. We should have full faith in God. Whatever may happen is for the good of me. It is God's gift. Consider it as God's gift. There is nothing bad anywhere. Take good in, bad also then will turn to be good in you. For this we should develop confidence. Faith and faith is important. Once you develop confidence you will never be a failure. Many are failures because they have no confidence. They aspire for worldly life. How long does it last? Today is good- tomorrow what will happen? What is kept in store? Tomorrow what will happen? Live in the present that is important. Past is past. Forget the past. It will never come back. Future is not certain, and do not brood over the future. Live in the present, this is important. This is not ordinary present this is omnipresent. If you take into account the present, everything ultimately becomes omnipresent. Never think of the past nor the future. Live in the present. Past will be forgotten. Future is unsure.

Devotees you have come from long distance. You have come here with devotion and faith, and you have been showing all things, you have been waiting. You should fill your hearts with the love of , and return. Fill your hearts with love. By the time you return there should be transformation. wants transformation not mere devotion. What is devotion? Devotion is only temporary. Transformation is permanent and we should work for that. We have to dedicate our life towards this end of Divinity. Are you happy here? Be always happy. Be always happy here there and everywhere. Be happy everywhere because your heart is God's seat. God is seated there. God is coming with you. God is in you, with you, around you. Strengthen that faith.

Many children after getting married, they follow their husbands and they will be worried whether they would be able to worship or chant the name of God there or not. Husbands may not accept, but think of God mentally. After sometime husband also changes. First transform your heart, make it stable, steady. You should be steady-minded. Steady- mindedness is Pragnanam Brahma in the Vedas. That is, constant integrated awareness. That should be safe and secure faith. With that strong faith you can go anywhere, there will be no problem. With that faith in you, there is nothing you cannot achieve in this world. You can achieve anything. So, strengthen that faith in you. That faith will confer all possible bliss.

If there are any differences of opinion don't accuse each other. All are brothers and sisters. You have to forget the differences, then it will not last in the mind. By taking the differences into your heart, there is no place for God in your heart because all silly things are filled in your heart. You should fill your heart with love. Talk with love. Work with love. Whatever you talk, talk with love. Sai's fundamental principle is love. If you have love, does not expect anything else. That is selfless love. Self is lovelessness. Love is selflessness. You should develop selfless love. Love lives by giving and forgiving. Self lives by getting and forgetting. So do not go by self only. Follow and develop love. All should mingle as brothers and sisters. Make everyone join this brotherhood. Let there be sisterly feelings towards you. All should be one family. Only one self in all of the beings. It is a family of the universe. When the whole universe is one family, it is an infinite family.

Canada is there, America, Japan, Germany, Italy, France. There are many countries. India is a separate country. They are not separated differently. 's opinion. You have built a mansion, a house. In your house you have set it apart - A drawing room, a dressing room, a dining room. Like that. It is only the wall in between that differentiates different rooms. It is only the wall that separates the dressing room from the dining room. Remove the walls, there you find a single big hall. Big hall. In this house, Japan is one room, Canada one room, India one room, Germany one room, Italy one room, France is a room. In the house of the universe there are different rooms, countries. Remove the walls of difference then you will find oneness.

All are one. Be alike to everyone. The walls are the obstacles in between. This obstacle, the wall, is the feeling of mine. This mine feeling is that of maya, illusion. This is my kerchief, this is my tumbler, this is my plate. We go on claiming mine, mine, mine. Who are you? But you won't say my body, my mind, my intellect, my senses, then who am I?

You're the master. Master the mind. Be a Mastermind. That is important. You should be the master. Don't have silly attachments be content with what you have. Do your duty. Also think good of others and also safeguard your interests. But what will happen ultimately? So, be a master for everything then all the material will certainly belong to you. Embodiments of love, you have come here with devotion and sincerity. Many people come from Canada and go. No one had a chance to talk to like this. This is your good fortune and luck. spoke to you so long and he has been talking with love. This will help you grow in devotion and service. is always in you, with you, above you, below you, and around you. So, don't have differences anytime. The happiness bliss you earn today, treasure it, keep it. That is true meditation. That is true bliss. That is true penance. Nothing more than that. No pilgrimage. No penance. No sacred text, no repetition.

To cross this life it is only service that helps you. Service is very essential. So do service to others to the extent possible. As you pass by the road you find suffering people. As you go to the office, stop that work for some time, and help the needy persons. You go to school, on the way you find an old man has fallen. Then, do not attend the school and serve this old man on the way. The results in serving these people will make you earn good marks in life. If you drop the old man here, and attend the school you do not get marks. Because here is a remark, there it is marked. See that you don't get remarks, then you'll get all marks. So, with all the love and faith grow more and more, visit this place year after year, more and more groups, numbers. Two boys.
