Young Adults

The Young Adults Wing, formerly known as the Youth Wing, is the backbone of the Organisation and is includes members between the ages of 18 to 40. The Sathya Sai Young Adults (YA) program encourages young women and men to lead purposeful lives, in keeping with the teachings of Sathya Sai Baba, through personal spiritual practice and community service. The YA program provides a forum to discuss practical ways that young adults can lead ethical, respectful and effective lives in our ever-changing world. The YAs regularly lead spiritual and service programs amongst themselves as well as with the larger Centre membership.

The YA program is an integral part of the SSIO and not a separate organisation. We seek to build capacity within the Sathya Sai Organization by raising future leaders who can understand and interact with the world through a practical spiritual lens. The YA program harnesses the energy and vitality of the young adults in supporting the different wings of the Centre while also gaining valuable experience towards future leadership.

The Sathya Sai International Leadership Program (SSILP) for Sai Young Adults, Young Adults Talent Development, and 6 other International YA Committees have been developed to aid in this regard. More information on these programmes may be found at www.sathyasai.org/ya.
